Product background: The Tau proteins are a family of neuronal microtubule associated proteins that are found in the neurofibrillary tangles often associated with Alzheimer’s Disease. Tau promotes the assembly and maintains the structure of microtubules in neuronal cells.
About the product: The Tau K18 fragment comprises all four microtubule binding repeats (4R) of Tau with mutations C291S and C322S. Expressed recombinantly in E. coli, Tau K18 is purified to our highest standards to ensure batch-to-batch consistency in both purity and quality.
