Alpha-Synuclein 2G9 Antibody
Product background: Alpha-Synuclein (α-Synuclein) is a presynaptic protein found to be a major component of Parkinson’s Disease (PD) aggregates and is implicated in the pathogenesis of PD and related neurodegenerative disorders.
About the product: Alpha-Synuclein 2G9 is an rPeptide exclusive mouse monoclonal antibody that binds most of the Alpha-Synuclein proteins. This antibody does not recognize the Alpha-Synuclein 1-60, 1-95, or NACP splicing variant, indicating the epitope is located near the C-terminus.
Applications: This anti-Alpha-Synuclein mouse derived monoclonal antibody recognizes all but three Alpha-Synuclein constructs. Possible applications may include isoform identification, qualitative analysis, or expression level monitoring through western blots, ELISAs, or other methods.
