  Tubulin, Porcine

MW: 55,000 Da, heterodimer is ~110,000 Da

Description:
Tubulin, a globular protein, polymerizes into long chains or filaments that form microtubules, hollow fibers which serve as a skeletal system for living cells. Tubulin is composed of a heterodimer of two closely related 55K dalton proteins called alpha and beta tubulin. These two proteins are encoded by separate genes, whose sequences are highly conserved in all eukaryots.
